On behalf of the Division of Adult and Career Education's Summer School Program (from June 20th to July 21st):

LAUSD is offering many classes that include English as a Second Language/Citizenship classes, courses for High School Diploma or equivalency, and classes for students interested in working as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician.

On the flyer, all our schools are listed with the courses they will be offering this summer. The last page is a list of the Navigators, to whom students can be referred directly.

During the summer, prospective Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician students can take the assessment exams to determine eligibility and complete the orientation. [Please note that students must already have a high school diploma or equivalency to be eligible for the Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician programs.] As long as they meet all the eligibility requirements, new students can start on August 15th. If you have anyone who is interested, please have them contact me directly at 805-876-4166, eec2513@lausd.net, or through the attached QR code (located on top).

Remember-- ALL classes through LAUSD's Division of Adult and Career Education are TUITION-FREE. If a student who is taking a vocational training program needs assistance in funding the associated costs (books, materials, uniform, etc.), then the Navigators can connect the student to a WorkSource Center or Youth Source Center to request funding assistance.
